Croisant les formats du livre et du diaporama photographique, la nouvelle «Barbituriques » dépeint la névrose et les visions d´une femme se réfugiant finalement en dehors de la réalité.

La série photographique «Neuf fois Cécile» présente trois personnages liés et aliénés les uns aux autres de manière inextricable et imprévisible.

Mariant esthétique, souvenirs personnels et événements historiques, l´installation photographique « L´heure du thé » nous invite à considérer l´interprétation historique comme simple promenade récréative.

L´installation sculpturale « Frontières » évoque la destruction rapide et incontrôlée de l´environnement naturel, pour un monde uniforme et chimique.

* Alex Caroll (France) s´est formée aux arts visuels à Strasbourg, Paris et Berlin. Marquée par l´esthétique baroque (Bill Viola, David Lynch) et l´art allemand du XXe siècle, Caroll explore la notion de traces et de transformation des symboles à travers le temps.

>>> Exploring the narrative and formal breakdown as a poetical attempt of individual resistance, the exhibition questions the notion of «identity» in a society invaded by the repetitive and tyrannical flow of manufactured, technological and artificial products.

Crossing the formats of a book and a diaporama, the novel « Barbiturates » portrays the neurosis and the visions of a woman who finally escapes outside the reality.

The photographic serie «Nine times Cécile» presents 3 characters inextricably and unpredictably connected and alienated with one another.

Marrying aesthetic, private memories and historical events, the photographic installation « Tea time » invites us to consider historical interpretation as a simple recreational walk.

The sculptural installation «Borders» brings up the rash and uncontrolled destruction of the natural environment for an uniform and chemical world.

* Alex Caroll (France) learnt visual arts in Strasbourg, Paris and Berlin. Inspired by the baroque aesthetic (Bill Viola, David Lynch) as well as by the german art of the XXth century, Caroll explores the notion of traces and the transformation of symbols through time.

Le lundi 19 juillet à 19h, la Galerie E Dans L’A présente la soirée Apolon, afin de souligner l’ouverture du Championat Mondial d’Athlétisme. Vous pourrez voir les œuvres de Marie-Eve Lavigne, Alain Doiron, Nicholas Frenette, Aleksandr Onyshchenko et Aaron Ricker. L’exposition se poursuivra jusqu’au 4 août.
E Dans L’A Gallery presents Apollo Night, on monday July 19th at 7 pm. This exhibition will be on display untill August 4th for the World Track & Field Championship. Works by Marie-Eve Lavigne, Alain Doiron, Nicholas Frenette, Aleksandr Onyshchenko er Aaron Ricker will be on display.
